Sinful Colors “In the Spotlight”

The glitter polish is “Jewelry Heist” from Wet n Wild’s Spoiled collection. It’s really pretty, a chunky nude glitter with green and blue flecks.

I’m trying to figure out the play on words. I can only think of one possible pun, but it would be more fitting for a creamy white shade. “INAPPROPRIATE!”

Christmas Beauty Gifts… To: Me, From: Me

I got myself a few small goodies for behaving, breaking very few laws, and keeping my impulse purchases to a minimum.

Anothersoul on Etsy makes amazing handmade magnetic makeup pallets. If you’re up for depotting your cosmetics, this saves tons of space and travels well. The water resistant pallets are $16.99 and come in about two dozen different designs.

Next up is a set of brushes and a travel pouch made by Fash and sold Amazon. This is definitely a low-end brand, but I’ve got a good set of brushes that I was looking to supplement with a few more. They are decent for being under $15.

Lastly, I got something I’ve been looking at since their debut for Halloween. Elf put out a collection of pallets inspired by the Disney villainesses. The Cruella “Everyday Evil Eyes” kit includes eight shadows, two lip and cheek color pencils, liquid eyeliner, eye shadow primer, and a set of false lashes with glue included. If you can still find one, they’re only $9.

I used the loose glitter in the dollar store nail art set from this post: http://stellablack.tumblr.com/post/27208126061/glitter-beads. Everything is still available in some stores and very fun to play with if you don’t want to spend a lot to experiment.

DIY Studded Cross Sweatshirt

You’ll need any kind of cotton shirt. Stay away from stretchy materials. The other supplies are simple- any color spray paint, blue painter’s tape, a few sheets of paper, and some standard pyramid studs. Sketch out a design with chalk or a washable marker. Refine your rough sketch using a measuring tape. Tape off your design, lay down the paper to protect the rest of the shirt and seal the edges with another layer of tape. (This is important! You can see in the picture, I did a patchy job and got a bit of paint outside of the design.) Spray the stencil using thin layers, but don’t be stingy- the paint won’t crack. Let your shirt dry and add the studs. I cut the neckline off of mine for a little off-the-shoulder action.

DIY Earring Remix

I got the original earrings in the first pic and reworked them into a pair of hoops. You’ve seen this style everywhere, especially on the Vh1 reality clowns. They are ridiculously easy to DIY and really hot, not to mention totally customizable and adjustable.

Here’s a link to a Etsy store with tons of fresh supplies for this style, including basic hoops to start with. http://www.etsy.com/shop/CoHoSupplies

New nails coming up soon, y’all. I had to detox my little finger paint fiends for a minute.

First Halloween nails of the year. $2.95 at Walmart. Cute lil Frankensteins coming up next.
