For this one, I was going for a marble/granite look. Instead of the “traditional” sponging technique using a makeup applicator, I used a regular kitchen sponge. And instead of tapping the color on to create a faded look, I rolled the sponge across my nail (just like you would when using a stamping kit).
Kinda sloppy, but I really like the effect that the porous kitchen sponge creates. I’m going to try to perfect this when I have more time. I’ll post a short tutorial if it comes out looking decent.
P.S. (About the third pic) When did sponges become so fashionable?
